Lauren Is Coming Home!

Lauren gets back from Japan tomorrow! Whoohoo! She has spent the last two weeks touring Japan with her People to People group. Starting out in Tokyo, going to Gokayama to stay with a family for three days, going into Gifi, visiting in Hiroshima and then finishing the trip in Kyoto. Her favorite part was the Anime Museum - where the Japanese animation happens. She spent over half of her touring money here. She has many stories to share but mostly can not wait to eat "real" food again. She has been dieting on rice, mostly. They had green tea at a Tea Ceremony at one of the temples, that Lauren described as "thick."
She rode the bullet train, which was a great experience she said. Hiroshima was sad. They saw the remnants of what a nuclear weapon does. They slept on the floor, as most of the hotels have their beds on the floor - or in the walls as "bunks."Lauren said Japan is so beautiful and green and so clean. She loves it and would go back again!

Wow--that is awesome! What a fun adventure and experience for her. You'll have to do a age about "thick tea" for sure. Can't wait to see more pics!
