Girl Scout Father/Daughter Dance

Friday night was the Girl Scout Father/Daughter Dance. Cadette Scouts work the event (don't dance or bring their Dad's). The girls help out with set up, check in, serving, photo station, and clean up. Part of the Neighborhood Community Service requirements. This year was a fun Father/Daughter night. The dance was "Cruise" theme. Complete with light houses and life savor rings as the centerpieces. There was a photo station that resembled a pier. The girls all dressed like sailor girls with the cute white hats and they wore blue aprons with a lighthouse or a life savor embroidered onto it. The room had royal blue table clothes and blue and white balloons. So cute. One of the Dad's (Greg Hummel - manager of Dad's web business - factory direct 2 you) was there in a stylish white blazer with his black pants rolled up to the knees and flap jacks! What a kick! Lauren helped out with Megan Thomas another girl from our troop. This event will happen again next Friday night. The Scouts put this event on every year. It is fun for the Daisy Scout, Brownie Scouts and sometimes Junior Scouts to go on a date with Dad. Plus it is fun to see all the Dad's pooped out and the young girls still rockin' out "Come on Dad one more... one more dance!" Cracks me up! A big thanks to Isabelle Huber for making this event happen and for making it so darn CUTE!!! You are awesome!
