Back To School

We just started our third week of school and my second week back at work, and boy I am so tired already! It's after ten and I just finished cleaning out the refrigerator, checking homework, making dinner, and doing the laundry and ironing while catching up on recorded shows I could not see before. Jackson is in Third Grade this year. Keeping our fingers crossed that he will do well. Lauren is in her last year at HNM. Already the homework load is full. She had homework in every subject! Yikes, I remember those days. She was so tired after Volleyball practice. She had to run three laps in this heat. Then come home to the books. I did her dishes for her tonight. She managed to get her homework done and have time to do some recreational reading.

These are a two page layout I made for Jackson's first day back at school. I used the new Karen Foster papers mixed with some old Karen Foster embellishments. There is also a chalkboard

paper that I liked too. I will have to use it on the next page for him. Creative mojo is hard to come by after I finish with all of my household "duties." Plus I can not wait to start the Halloween pages. There is some spooktacular Halloween paper lines out right now. I am thinking of Cosmo Cricket in particular. I love the vintage old feeling of the design. Plus their Holiday paper is just as wonderful and has that vintage washed out look. Make for a great sleigh ride page or holiday card making. Oh, don't get me started on the holidays. Too much to do. However, I did start my shopping already so we don not have to take such a "hit" on the credit card in January. Span out the purchases and enjoy the "sticking stuffer" shopping in December. Or the "what's one more gift..." shopping. That is always fun. Back to School Night is next week. I'll concentrate on that first.
