He loves going here. So this was his treat since he did not get to have a friend over. After dinner we went to Baskin Robbins for an ice cream. Oreo shakes were ordered by the kids. Yum! I remember Baskin Robbins as a kid when the store front had the chocolate and strawberry dots all over and the clerks had the white paper hats with the same brown and pink stripes. They wore all white? They had Burgundy Cherry back then. I am really dating myself. But, hey did you know the ice cream chain began in Glendale, California? Didn't Bob's Big Boy begin in Glendale? Now that was a great place. I loved their hamburgers and their chocolate shakes came in the metal fountain cups and got all frost on the outside. You could use the heat from your finger and put your initials on the cup. Well, Thursday starts school and we are ready for another busy year...

oh gosh Susan...I remember the old Baskin Robbins colors! Growing up in La Verne is was all about the Tasty Freeze across the street from the police dept. yum...chocloate dipped cones!!! When Baskin Robbins opened we would ride our bikes there...my favorite was daquari ice, it was a summer seasonal flavor but I loved it!!! We always knew if we ate at The Warehouse Pizza we're getting Tasty Freeze...Pizza and Stuff we're getting BR!!
