The B-52's

I just love it when the fair comes to the Pomona Fairgrounds in September, because with all the fun of the fair there is also great concerts! Bands that I have not seen in a long time and some new ones. Last night we went and experienced the B-52's! It was awesome! The first time I saw them play was in 1980 at the Hollywood Palladium. I remember dancing so much, bopping around that the blue and white striped spandex dress I wore was drenched! This time we were in the grandstands (not much room to bop around) but I still managed to dance the whole time! Oh so many memories... They played the cult favorites Private Idaho, Strobe Light, Love Shack, Planet Claire and ended with Rock Lobster. They mixed in some of their new ones which will be on their new album. So much fun! The energy that Fred Schneider has bopping around on that stage is so enviable. Great performer. Awesome. Truly a fun night!

I would have loved to stay for their concert. As we were leaving the Fairplex, we saw a group of girls come in with huge beehive wigs on. Sounds like you had a blast!
